About us

Gees Pharmacy is long established, and has been used by the same family members for generations.

Gee’s Pharmacy was originally set up in 1974 in Kew, Richmond, Surrey to take over an established pharmacy dating back to 1890.

Since then another two pharmacies were added in 1978.

In 1981 a wholesale company was formed to supply pharmaceuticals to the London area. In 1987 the wholesale company moved to Bordon in Hampshire and P & D Pharmaceuticals have continued to operate in 38 Woolmer Way since then.

Gee’s Pharmacy now has its own dedicated warehouse in 36 Woolmer Way and reaps the benefit of having an established wholesaler alongside.

This unique situation will allow the companies to give a beneficial service not only to patients in nursing homes and care homes, but to the general public in the surrounding areas.

The Community Pharmacy Patient Questionnaire Results for 2017

We invited our patients to review our services by participating in this years Community Pharmacy Patient Questionnaire.

We are happy with the results and comments from our patients.

  • 78% of our patients were very satisfied and all our patients were satisfied overall with the time taken for us to provide prescription or any other NHS services.
  • 93% thought our stock availability was excellent or very good.
  • 96% were satisfied with the availability of having someone to speak to.
  • 98% of our patients thought our team is excellent or very good at answering their queries.

This survey highlighted our areas for improvement, such as letting our patients know that we can provide advice on health conditions and how to lead a healthier life style.

Many of our patients didn’t realise that we offer advice and consultations on:

  • smoking cessation
  • healthy eating and exercise
  • current health conditions

Or that we offer advanced NHS services such as:

  • The new medicine service
  • medicine use reviews

We can provide information over the phone, by post or through pre-arranged consultation.

Many of our patients didn’t realise we could put them in contact with other healthcare providers, such as your nearest optician or sexual health services (this is called sign-posting).

We will endevour to provide information to our patients about our services through this website, the Healthera App, our delivery drivers and over the phone.
